FROM STEFANIE

It is with a sad heart that we want to let everyone know that Stefanie’s brother, Jeffrey Moreau, passed away over the weekend. A former SF Muni and Sacramento RT employee, Jeffrey was a well-known connoisseur of railroad including cable cars, light rail, trolley coaches, motor buses, and the trolley festivals. He was the author of over 30 books on the subject. We will post more information when it is available.

In memory of my darling friend Noel Harrison who passed last night. Let us all light a candle to speed him on his way ... He deserves to fly with the angels ...

READING, WRITING & ROMANCE

Stefanie's latest television movie READING, WRITING & ROMANCE aired on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT.

Synopsis: Struggling actor Wayne Wenders is comically famous for starring in a low-budget commercial for Irritable Bowel Syndrome medication, a reputation he is hoping to change when he finally lands a starring role in a national root beer ad. But when the paycheck for his big break is delayed, Wayne looks for other options to pay his increasingly late rent and ends up interviewing for a gig teaching Shakespeare at the local high school. Principal Brenda Post (Stefanie) hires Wayne for his natural theatrical talent and enthusiasm, but Wayne is soon surprising himself with his love of the job—and for fellow English teacher Amy, who is immediately impressed with Wayne’s passion and his idea to teach the students with an exciting film project. As Wayne's understanding of teaching develops and his relationship with Amy evolves, he must ultimately decide if his dreams of stardom are really worth sacrificing everything for.

Celebrity Antiques
Road Show

STV has produced a second series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip for BBC Two which sees some of Britain’s best loved celebrities show off their antiques knowledge. Guests this series include former This Morning host Richard Madeley, ex-EastEnders‘ actress Pam St Clement, GMTV’s Fiona Phillips and Penny Smith, sitcom stars Richard Wilson, Don Warrington and Annette Crosbie and Hart to Hart star Stefanie Powers to name only a few.

“The new series of CART sees some more of the nations best loved celebrities hit the road and promises to be full of fun, rivalry and friendly banter. I hope viewers will love it, whether they’re already fans of the show, or new to the programme. It has proven to be must-see TV in the BBC2 schedule and we’re thrilled to be delivering a second and longer instalment for peak time television.” says Wendy Rattray, Creative Director for STV Productions.

The second twenty-episode series has been split into two runs. The first will transmit at 7pm from Monday 3rd of September, and follows the antique loving celebrities as they set off on a road trip across the UK, competing against each other to make the biggest profit buying and selling antiques. The second instalment of the series will transmit from Monday 12th November, and will see ten more pairs of celebrities take to the road.

Each celebrity will be teamed with one of the show’s regular experts, whose knowledge and experience will guide each pair through the antiques trail, giving them the best possible advantage in the competition. Travelling in classic vintage cars, the teams will be given a starting budget of £400 before starting their engines for the cross-country challenge.

Liam Keelan, Controller Daytime at BBC, adds “It will be great to have this stand-out hit back in the schedule with all the warmth and wit it brings.”

Each programme will see a different pair of celebrities put their wit and bargaining skills to the test as they set out to find hidden gems along the road and auction them off, hopefully at a profit, at the end of their trip.
